Knife, screwdriver, fork, spanner, spoon, hammer…what's in your kitchen drawer?

Have you ever used a knife to unscrew a socket? This cutlery is not like any other cutlery, designed with everyday eating in mind while combining the possibility of that elusive DIY job.

Everyone misplaces their tools, finding new homes for them all over the house, why not keep them all in the one place and then next time you need to change a fuse, put up that photo or put together that bookcase, you'll know exactly where to look. The reason for the kitchen toolbox is to combine everyday eating implements with general home DIY.

Everything inspired the kitchen toolbox, I started to look at the home and where we place objects around us. I like to think of it as the 'choreography of our stuff' - everyone has things in places for a reason, be it on show, or hidden away. Quite often we have odd things in odd places. I found someone had a pair of pliers in their cutlery drawer...Who else has this? It turned out a lot of people just put everything in that drawer...because they will see it every day and remember it's there when they need it. People also use tools in the wrong way...unscrew a plug with a knife. We have all done it. So the simple action of re designing cutlery to be used for simple DIY jobs brought about the design of the kitchen toolbox. The use of each tool is not necessarily apparent until you find that job around the home where you realise you need the spoon for this.
